York Reynolds

The Singer

The voice of York Reynolds has often been described as one of those rare, truly beautiful voices. He sings with one of the great and beautiful voices marked by a free naturalness and unique personality, with impressive radiance and carrying power rooted in a baritonal foundation, complemented by substantial vocal technique. Reynolds possesses the ability, thanks to his profound musicality, to immerse himself completely in various genres, performing with the finest sensitivity and, when necessary, unbridled dramatic expression. As an artist and a person, he lives by the belief: “When you really can sing something, not to sing it is like unlived life.” As a native German speaker, he performs the German art song (Lied) and opera, and as a native American English speaker, he sings the English art song, opera, standard songs, and popular songs.
